Experience Period
A Workers Compensation Term Definition
- Experience Period...
- The experience period is a block of time which payroll and loss data is gathered and used to calculate an experience modification factor for an individual employer. This is normally a three year period begining four years prior to the effective date of the experience modification factor. Advisory Organizations will however issue an early experience rating if an employer reaches certain premium levels within the first three year experience period.
