Here’s helpful information on how each of these states handle their verification service. To access any of these states just click on the link above. That link will take you to the state verification site where you can look up an employer. We’ll have this section on each of the state lookup pages to help you through the process.
Alabama: – Workers compensation verification is now available through the Alabama state website. Click on the above link for Alabama and once you get to their page scroll down towards the bottom. Go past “Education” and you will find a direct link titled “Workers Compensation Coverage Information.” Click on that link and it will take you to where you can enter information about the employer you are trying to verify.
Alaska: – To verify Alaska workers comp coverage just click the link above. That will take you to a page on the Alaska state website where you need to pick either “Employer Workers’ Compensation Coverage Verification” or the “Self- Insurance” page. If you choose the first you will be taken to a search criteria page. You’ll find you can look up coverage in Alaska if you only know the employers name or FEIN. Once entered the search will return a list of policy holders along with policy numbers. Clicking on the policy number will access specific policy information about that employer. They do not provide the policy dates.

Arizona: – Arizona verification information is provided through NCCI and their national data base. Their site will not provide you with information about an Arizona employer if they are self-insured or the name of a TPA, third party administrator, if used by an insurance company. Navigate to the Arizona site, click the verify link in the middle of the page and enter the information about the employer you have. The search should return a list of employers and policy numbers. Clicking on the policy number will bring up information about that employer. No dates, only the policy number, employers name and address. To access information about TPA’s and self-insureds, they ask you contact the Industrial Commission of Arizona at 602-542-4661.

Arkansas: – This state provides three choices of on-line searches from their state web page, Claim Search, Non-Coverage Certificates Search and Coverage Verification Search. The claim search option is only available to those authorized to access this section and look ups are fee based. If you have need to access the claim data for Arkansas you will find on this page instructions and registration information. The non-coverage search option is kind of unique in that with this look up service you can verify if any sole proprietor, partnership and legal liability company has filed and been issued a certificate of non-coverage with the state. Corporations may also show up in the non-coverage search but we have not verified that. Coverage verification service is new to Arkansas and as you will find with many states is actually provided to you through NCCI and their national data base.
