A Workers Compensation Term Defined, Described and Explained

Effective Date: This is the date coverage on a workers compensation policy begins. Workers compensation policies are typically written or issued for a tweleve (12) month period. However, because of special circumstances, they may be issued as a "short term" policy for a shorter period of time. Regardless the length of the term of coverage, the effective date will always be the date the policy begins.

Do not confuse the effective date with the Anniversary Rating Date! They are not the same.
