Second Injury Fund...: This is a state fund established to pay additional benefits for the re-injury of an employee's prior injury. This allows the employer of a permanently impaired employee to be responsible only for the most recent injury. The goal is to help an employer hire previously injured employees by knowing they will not be held responsible for their prior injuries.
